Euro-BioImaging strengthens connections within the imaging community at SPAOM 2026

Euro-BioImaging participated in SPAOM 2026, engaging with researchers, technology developers, imaging specialists, and innovation stakeholders through networking activities, scientific presentations, and interactive workshops.

Over several days, SPAOM 2026 brought together members of the imaging community to exchange knowledge, showcase technological advances, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Euro-BioImaging was proud to contribute to the event through a dedicated networking stand, scientific posters, and workshops highlighting the opportunities available through its pan-European infrastructure.

The conference offered an excellent platform to strengthen relationships across the imaging ecosystem and to showcase how Euro-BioImaging facilitates access to cutting-edge imaging technologies, services, and expertise through its extensive network of facilities across Europe.

Visitors to the Euro-BioImaging stand had the opportunity to learn more about the infrastructure’s open-access model, which enables researchers, research organisations, and companies to access advanced imaging technologies without the need for substantial investments in equipment and specialised personnel. This model accelerates research and innovation while maximising the impact of existing scientific resources.

Throughout the event, the Euro-BioImaging team engaged in discussions with current and potential users, facility managers, technology providers, and institutional partners. These exchanges highlighted the growing demand for access to advanced imaging solutions capable of addressing increasingly complex scientific and social challenges.

The workshops and scientific contributions presented during the conference demonstrated the broad potential of imaging technologies across diverse fields, from life sciences and materials research to translational applications and industrial innovation. They also provided an opportunity to showcase the expertise available through Euro-BioImaging Nodes and facilities, supporting users throughout the entire research and innovation pipeline.

Beyond the scientific programme, SPAOM 2026 reinforced the importance of community building within the imaging landscape. Creating connections between researchers, facilities, industry, and infrastructure providers is essential to foster knowledge exchange, stimulate collaborative projects, and accelerate the development of innovative solutions.
